Programs

To achieve its goals and objectives, the EEOG provides the following services:

Project Save-A-Student Leadership and Training Conference – is an exhibit that provides students with alternative learning opportunities not presented in the traditional school curriculum. The program empowers, engages, and encourages students to rise above the challenges of life by motivating them to strive for success. This is accomplished through live workshops conducted by top business leaders, entrepreneurs and political power-brokers that students can emulate. The conference is a three-day retreat to provide students with confidence, practical knowledge and self-development tools that will help them succeed academically and in life. In addition to workshops, the conference provides a job fair, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities for students and sponsoring organizations.

Educational Speaker Series is an exciting ten-month series, offered through four hour monthly sessions designed to help students maximize their potential.  Participating students develop a comprehensive action plan identifying academic, professional, and personal goals, including timelines for achievement. The speaker series, featuring high achieving business and civic leaders and educators, is incorporated to keep students enthusiastic and eager to learn the vast opportunities that await them.

Emerging Leaders Travel & Book Club – is a supervised initiative that serves public high school students. Through this program, students will participate in reading and discussing assigned novels to enhance their literacy and communication skills. This group of readers will also take parent -chaperoned field trips to enlightening and historic locales. The trips are designed to elevate student’s exposure in cultural awareness and involvement. The core objectives are…

  • Academic Enrichment (Reading Comprehension and Written/Oral Communication)
  • Leadership Development (Education Speaker Series)
  • Parent/ Student Relationship Development (Cultural Enrichment Activities & Field Trips)

The Annual Fundraising Galais a culmination of our programs for the calendar year. This recognition activity promotes the EEOG to Community Leaders.  It is another vehicle to share our mission and our student success stories with the community. Students share their personal testimonials of the positive impact their involvement in the EEOG has on their day-to-day academic and personal life.  The Gala highlights the many community volunteers that help us deliver our programs and raise the necessary funds to sustain and continue the EEOG’s mission.
