Emerging Leaders High School Mentoring Clubs

Emerging Leaders High School Mentoring Clubs are supervised initiatives that serve high school students in the public high schools.

Through this program, students  participate in reading and discussing assigned novels to enhance their literacy and communication skills. Groups of readers also take parent-chaperoned field trips to enlightening and historic locales. The trips are designed to elevate students’ exposure in cultural awareness and involvement. Through this program, students and parents focus on three core areas:

  • Academic Enrichment (Reading Comprehension and Written/Oral Communication)
  • Character Development (Education Speaker Series)
  • Parent and Student Relationship Development (Cultural Enrichment Activities)

In Emerging Leader Mentoring Clubs, students inspire and hold one another accountable for success. The students pictured are from Fayette Ware Comprehensive High School in Somerville, TN.
